For a start i didnt see on the website we would be staying in a villa! If thats what u want to call it anyway. It looked like a halls residence for students, the room was tiny! The bathroom was horrible not even a proper shower just a drain on the floor also needed some serious decorating done to it!The receptionist was very rude to my boyfriend on the phone so we were not very impressed with the stay overall.
Was so bad, we didnt even stay!

When booking this 'hotel' we saw a lovely picture of a white building surrounded by a beautifully kept garden.
We booked 1 night which cost £50.
As we drove in, I noticed a sign saying 'Dundee university campus'. We thought nothing of it (perhaps they where sharing an entrance?). We then looked around for the reception, but could not find it. There were no sign's anywhere. We eventually decided to open the main front door of the white building. When we got inside, we were very impressed by the young receptionist's smile & speed of service. She gave us our room key & pointed us in the right direction (villa 3).
We went around behind the main building to the red brick building as instructed. We got inside, & instead of the, & I quote 'a bright and airy villa complex', we were walking into a dull brick walled hall with dark red tiled floor. We reached villa 3 & proceeded to our room.
When we got there our room door was open, room service must have just been out of it as we arrived. The room wasn't as the pictures in some websites. The room was dull, cramped & not very clean. The bathroom wasn't very nice, with red painted floor & a dirty bathmat stuck to it over a drain for the shower. The bedding looked old & washed out, it was also wrinkled! The walls were painted white, but you could see dirty smudges on it left by the student that occupied the room before.
We were not happy, but decided we would stay anyway as it was only for 1 night. We unpacked & went out for the afternoon.
We returned to our room later in the afternoon. I took off my jeans to get a bit more comfortable, my boyfriend was watching TV, we then heard a click & the door opened! A girl stuck her head in the door, we were shocked at having someone just let themselves into our room. She then said "oh..um...sorry, room service....just checking everything is alright"!
That was the last straw, we packed our things & checked into the Jury's Inn Edinburgh. We couldn't get another hotel in Dundee as everywhere was fully booked due to a golf tournament!
Sorry this has been a bit of a long review, but I had to tell every detail!
My advice would be, not to stay in the west park 'hotel' Dundee!
