I travelled to Dundee, the City of Discovery, with a host of friends from Glasgow. We were scattered around the city, with most syaing in the Apex Hotel for £70-a-night. Myself and two friends each booked double rooms at the Shaftesbury for £58-per-night. On arrival, I was allocated a twin room, with no explanation. The heating didn't work, there was no hot water, there was a smell of dampness. I've stayed in other hotels in Dundee, as I'm sometimes there on business as well as pleasure, and I would urge anyone to take another option. And the location isn't fantastic either. Honestly, take my advise and stay clear.

The people we so kind and helpful and there seemed to be a great atmosphere throughout the place. I know a few people who have stayed there and also thought it was excellent! The kind new owners recently acquired it from the previous owner and the place looks great. The restraints are very elegant and classy and it was a thoroughly pleasurable experience staying there. Thank you so much for the wonderful time!
