Ignore old reviews - this hotel now has new owners and is absolutley fantastic!!!! The owners go more than the extra mile to make sure everyone feels welcome - it is very clean, comfortable and full of the little extras that make it a complete home from home (like a toothbrush on the bed) excetional value - more like a hotel charging 4 times this much - RECOMMENDED 5 STAR (I am not related to them!!! x)

We were one of the first to stay with the new owners and had a great weekend. The staff couldn't do enough to help and food was just fantastic- especially the breakfast which we could hardly finish. Comfortable rooms, good facilities but it was the great customer service made the weekend.

Rooms clean and tidy but basic. Heard lots about the famous Scotish breakfast, don't expect it here. Staff could do with a personallity transplant to inject some pleasantries, they are very dour
