Recently visited Mabie house for a relaxing short break. Beautiful setting only a short drive from the town. Wonderful staff, food delicious and rooms like no other I have seen. Will definitely be revisiting before the years up. Couldn't have asked for a better short break.

Just back from Mabie house with a group of cycling friends and had a brilliant time. The Pods are a great idea for the cowards of us that can't hack the real outdoors!!! They were warm spacious and ideal for us dirty bikers. The bar staff were great considering we were perched at the bar until the early hours. The breakfast were amazing, just the job for the day of cycling ahead. It was great value for money and will be returning again and again.

Mabie Hotel's location is the attraction for my monthly business trips to ScottieLand. It's very relaxed and without the hype of so many hotels professing to provide great service but failing to see how & where they don't! The Mabie is comfortable. I've stayed in most rooms and all are good and well furnished, some are LARGE. Heating and Hot Water systems which work correctly, too. Menu is good and the restaurant / bar area adequate for most occassions. All at resonable cost. As a business traveller I like to know what I'm getting after a long drive and days work, or both. This hotel provides what it says on the can, and the staff are friendly and helpful at all times. Value for money. One improvement would be I.T. / P.C. access to the net in the rooms for the times when work must continue. Rated @ 90% of what I need.
