After a wonderful stay in the Dellwood, we are sure we have decided to bring our friends with us in October. Campbeltown is a lovely place and the people very friendly. The hotel itself had a great level of service, especially the waitresses who were always helpful and, in some cases, musically talented! We would recommend this to anyone and advise the writer of the previous comment to give it another try.

After a distinctly cool reception from one of the ladies I was shown to my twin room with shared facilities. The room was fine, if a little dated, but the only window was a dormer window in the roof. The bulb in the ceiling light wasn't working and the kettle (which was black inside)had to be boiled on the floor as the flex was too short. The light fitting in the table lamp was loose. When I went out in the evening I found that the door wouldn't lock as the lock did not fit in the catch. I therefore had to leave my valuables in a friend's room. Generally the hotel is clean and the staff friendly - even the frosty lady defrosted eventually - but the final straw was when I took the coffee and sugar sachets out of the container and found it was not only dusty and dirty but it also contained a pubic hair. I thought that it would be a good hotel if a little more attention to detail. There are also several crow's nests in the nearby trees so this would affect a light sleeper.
