I arrived for an evening meal with a few work mates, we hadn't booked or anything but the staff were very helpful organising drinks in the bar as we waited for a table. Within what seemed like a heartbeat our order was taken and we were seated, my pint didn't even have time to settle. The meal was excellent and a wonderful time was had by all. Would recommend.

Arrived with my boyfriend for a bar meal. Staff was all very friendly and attentive. Smiles and eye contact - couldn't do enough to help. I manage a restaurant and wish all my staff was as focused on customer service. Food was really good. Great variety on menu and everything homemade. Lovely home baking to follow. Very impressed and will definitely be back.

We booked dinner for 4 people here as the hotel looked nice from the outside & the menu sounded ok. Bad move! We arrived and were told to sit in the bar. No-one brought menu's. I asked about 30 mins later for a menu and was told that our order would be taken straight away. 30 mins later the order was finally taken. The food was inedible. All 4 of my party have strong stomachs from years of travelling, however the Burnhouse Manor beat us! None of us finished our meal. The staff were poorly trained & had litle or no idea about customer service. The cooking/hygene was questionable. The overal decor & ambience was dreadful. Very dated & lacked investment. My advice - keep driving!
