When staying at this hotel, you must understand that it has a 2 star rating and family/operated. Having said that, it was clean,with friendly owners and staff. The food was excellent particularly the breakfast. We stayed there for 6 nights during the British Open 2010, giving us just a short 20 minute drive to St Andrews. The bar is very Engish pub type feeling with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The village of Crail was nice and the locals were very helpful. If you are looking for a base to play golf this would be ideal. Thank you for a great week.
