We stayed in this hotel becuase we were going to a party in Alloa and live in Ediburgh so it saved my husband having to drive home. It is pricey for what you get - £70 per night. I've stayed in the Hilton and Radisson for less! The room was clean but dated and the whole hotel could do with upgrading (particularly if they're going to charge £70 per night in Alloa of all places!). The breakfast though was absolutely awful. For the price I was expecting a full blown Scottish breakfast with all the trimmings. In fact we had the worst cooked breakfast I think I've ever tried. The sausages were those relly cheap ones they used to have in high schools, full of gristle, and I think the eggs had been scrambling since breakfast started. I would only stay here again if absolutely desperate. Not worth the money.
