Travelodge is usually an average quality place to stay but my recent stay was one of the worst i've ever had. Upon arrival I was spoken to by the less than pleasant receptionist like I was some sort of inconvinience. After being shouted at because of my evening meal that I had pre-ordered, I finally got into my poor excuse of room. The bath was filthy, the toilet was disgusting, the bathroom floor was rather dirty, the room walls were stained with some unknown substances and the bed was like sleeping on a sack of potatoes!
I was certainly glad to get out of there!

This hotel was simply the worst i've ever had the misfortune of staying in!!
Dirty room with hair in bath, vomit stains on wall and more. The most uncomfrtable bed ever, matress needed replaced long ago. The "food" was shocking, stale bread, warm milk & reheated "meat". The bar had NO ICE, no cider & the draught beer was off. Avoid at all costs!!!

Worst Hotel

This is definitely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in - not even worth the cheap price tag. Couldn't get shower to work. Bath too dirty to use. Bed sheets clean but the floor dirty. Generally hotel very poor. Location central but no double glazing and unbelievably noisy.
Needless to say will not be back. Stayed in Premier Inn last visit to Aberdeen.

I'm sending you this because we were not thrilled with the accommodation. We had a room with a double bed and pull-out. They were the most uncomfortable sleeping accommodations ever - you need to replace them. You didn't ask how we enjoyed our stay AND when wanting to book at another Travelodge in another city, you told us to do it ourselves. You would think, you would be only too happy to help us with another Travelodge reservation. As you may have guessed - we won't be stayed there again. Hopefully you take this into consideration and make some improvements.

Top Local Tips for Aberdeen

If you are attending an event at the AECC We were in Aberdeen for the Fratellis concert at the AECC. Got a taxi there no problem as it is a fair distance out of the city centre. However after the concert it was a different story. Five thousand people all departing the venue at the same time and not a taxi or bus anywhere. Had to walk several miles back towards town before we managed to flag down a taxi which put a bit of a dampner on the evening. I would recommend making transport arrangements to get back to your hotel before you attend your event or you could be left to walk for miles like we were.

Brilliant Hen night We went for a meal at La Bambas which was absolutely excellent, the staff were totally geared up for hen nights, there was about 5 hen parties in!!! The food was excellent too and we got great little party bags and I got a sombrero that I will treasure forever. Next we went onto Club tropicana where it was a special girls night, with a pole dancer giving us a demo then a stripping fireman-bliss!!!!!! then after a few more drinkies it was onto the Belmont chip shop for chips and cheese which is the best I've every tasted
