My family and I stayed at this hotel and although basic it was okay, karaoke all week not everyone’s cup of tea I am sure but it is a disgrace that you have to buy the guy who does it a drink so you get put up his list or even up to sing at all. Seems this is what the regulars do. Some may find this guy funny but he is appalling his manners leave a lot to desire and of course, you don't hear the worst of it through the microphone, one patron I was sitting beside was told to f**k off just because he asked when he was to sing. I say the only reason this place is fully booked is it’s because it’s the only place who allows kids in the bar. Who wants to hear kids singing all night??? When I go out for a night, I like to relax not listen to children screaming. It is cheap too that’s why it’s booked other hotels are closed as are a lot of B&B guest houses. I would not go back but then that’s my opinion and I am easily pleased. |

| Great For Mum And Dad! |

A Very friendly hotel, that allows a family to get together in the evening for a little bit off entertainment!! Kids Love Karaoke!
At least The Port Hotel knows what a family needs! The guy who does The Karaoke is hilarious! It may not be to everyones taste.
But then families, cannot afford the more costly hotels! Its motto Come in as a Stranger Leave as a Friend! is very apt!
Thats is why people come back to The Port Year After Year! Why is it ""Fully Booked" in the summer season? Because people like the Port!!!!!!!!!!
But always check for vacancies"
Just incase of a cancellation which is very rare!

| Get some decent entertainment |
|
We stayed at this hotel a week ago and although the room was okay a lot has to be desired from the breakfast and the evening entertainment. Who is this guy??? I do not take kindly to my wife being made fun of or the rude double meanings, he is lucky he didn’t get a smack in the mouth, it would be interesting to see who the bouncers went for me the man who had just been offended in front of everyone, my wife who was deeply embarrassed or him? If you want this vile drunken man to entertain you then by all means go see him but we will not be going back to his karaoke. Seems to like the locals better as they get to sing all night anyway. The food could be a lot better and yes the bar is a bit dingy. |
