A Very friendly hotel, that allows a family to get together in the evening for a little bit off entertainment!! Kids Love Karaoke!
At least The Port Hotel knows what a family needs! The guy who does The Karaoke is hilarious! It may not be to everyones taste.
But then families, cannot afford the more costly hotels! Its motto Come in as a Stranger Leave as a Friend! is very apt!
Thats is why people come back to The Port Year After Year! Why is it ""Fully Booked" in the summer season? Because people like the Port!!!!!!!!!!
But always check for vacancies"
Just incase of a cancellation which is very rare!

We have stayed at the Port at least three times now! Why? Because it is so funny !!!It's so bad we can't help but go back to see all the improvements!!!! Once we both ordered breakfast at the same time, and yet when served, the plates contained different breakfast items!

Arrive as a guest,leave as a friend!!!

Can I have chips with that please??

The worst hotel I have stayed in...
The staff were rude, the room was dirty, the bathroom tiny and the furniture looked as though it had been bought in a 1950s church jumble sale...actually that's an exaggeration, no one would have had the nerve to charge money for such a pile of junk! The curtains were dirty. The towels were very old and crusty. The TV was tiny only had 3 channels. The view from the cracked window was overflowing bins and a broken washing machine/staff smoking .The breakfast consisted of greasy burnt sausages, raw bacon, rubber eggs soft cornflakes, the drink on offer was orange squash! All served in a room that would pass for a cave no natural light and a smell of drains. DO NOT STAY HERE ! ! ! ! ! !

We stayed at this hotel a week ago and although the room was okay a lot has to be desired from the breakfast and the evening entertainment. Who is this guy??? I do not take kindly to my wife being made fun of or the rude double meanings, he is lucky he didn't get a smack in the mouth, it would be interesting to see who the bouncers went for me the man who had just been offended in front of everyone, my wife who was deeply embarrassed or him? If you want this vile drunken man to entertain you then by all means go see him but we will not be going back to his karaoke. Seems to like the locals better as they get to sing all night anyway. The food could be a lot better and yes the bar is a bit dingy.

I suppose it doesn't matter what I say about this hotel because as everyone can see the reviews are so varied. They are obviously not check at all and any spacer can write a review. We stayed here and it was very homely. I supposed all those bad reviews are most likely from the same person. Probably some local drug dealer who has been barred.

We had booked to stay in this hotel on a recent visit to Portrush. I was concerned about our booking after reading some of the reports on here. When we arrived we got a warm welcome and the room was spacious, clean and looked very newly furnished. We ate in the restaurant and had a great meal. The evenings entertainment was superb. We thought we would try another bar for the Saturday evening but there was nowhere with the same atmosphere nor as friendly a crowd. We enjoyed it so much we have booked again for Easter.

Port is spot on, were there 4 nights for the NW200 and again in December. Room 7 no complaints at all, staff spot on room clean n tidy. I think the other folk are disgruntled snobs who are looking Europa type digs in Portrush. Booked again for 07 NW200 .good hearty breakfasts to start the day good pints of Guinness in the evening, I suppose the comments about Krazy Davy and his karaoke are correct, but hey, that's Portrush for you. You had the option to go to bed or somewhere else. Overall 8 out 10 it is what it is but it ain't filthy and the beds are sound.

In need of updating. Rooms basic but served the purpose of somewhere to lay your head. Entertainment was a bit of laugh, seemed very popular with locals and tourists. There were even patrons from other more expensive hotels who came in for the entertainment! Better than the Peninsula which was over priced and had teenagers running around at all hours of the night!
