Comparing this to some of the finest and more expensive hotels in London ( that I have stayed in ), ie value for money and quality of service, perhaps some of them should stay at Canal Court. We were greeted on a daily basis, with what I can only describe as total professionalism from all levels of staff!! Genuinely friendly and helpful, nothing was any bother, rooms were fresh, clean and fully equipt, all information in rooms was informative. Restaurants and bars were fantastic, and last but not least the receptionists were among the most efficient and friendly I have ever come across. Some other hotels could learn a valueable lesson from Canal Court. 10/10

Top Local Tips for Newry

Getting to newry train station A free shuttle bus operates from the Bus Station (2 minutes walk from Canal Court hotel ) which will bring you to newry Railway station in about 7 minutes. There are 7 trains daily to Dublin and Belfast stopping at Dundalk Drogheda and Portadown). Travel time to Dublin 1 hour and 10 minutes and 1 hour to Belfast Central.

Don't stop There is little or nothing to do in Newry although there are some nice day trips into the Mourne mountains which are accessible from Newry. There is an over all air of menace about the place once darkness falls and there are a lot of drunk people on the streets.
