Excellent

Can't really fault this hotel.

My wife and I spent a short break in Belfast a couple of weeks ago, and booked 3 nights at the Hilton. Upon arrival (we were early- about 12pm), we were told our executive room we had booked was not ready, so they upgraded us to junior studio!

New room was on corner of building, with floor to ceiling windows on two sides. All seemed brand new, including bathroom with power shower and massive bath tub.

Leisure facilities were a nice bonus, as was the excellent breakfast buffet and bar. Staff were all very helpful and rooms were kept immaculate.

Situated by the river in developing area of the city, well positioned between shops and other attractions. No complaints!

Great location - above average Hilton

Great location with atmospheric views of Belfast. I am not a great fan of hotel chains but this is the most enjoyable stay I have had in a Hilton. Small leisure facility also adds value.

Service pretty good. We did have a problem with our non-smoking booking not being allocated when we arrived, but this resulted in us being upgraded to an executive (smoking) room which in fact was fine.

Bar area aimed to be funky but for me was a bit impersonal. Plenty of options for drinking in the locality however.

Overall I would recommend a stay here particularly if you can get a deal that makes it even better value

Rubbish

from Guy10
Looking at the other reviews it's like we visited a different place....check in was good, room on the small side but nice....

Unfortunately we ate there. My friend had a plastic seperator still attached to her cooked burger, and mine was so overcooked it was inedible. Others had some crispy beef thing which seemed much better.

We got rid of the plastic burger which was replaced by something else at no charge and when it came to settle the check "was everything alright" - "no the other burger was overcooked to the point of being inedible" - "did you say anything to the waiter" - "yes but he just laughed" saw that charge go away as well with very little, if any, apology...

I also hate hotels that push the prices up when there's a conference on (which you're not attending) The room price was £160 for one wednesday night. Breakfast an additional £12.

Overpriced Rubbish. Not up to Hilton standards at all.

Faultless

Absolutely superb hotel in great location on the Waterfront but only a short walk to the City Centre (5 mins).

Great facilities, friendly & helpful staff.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in anywhere in the world and I've been in a few!

Good Hotel, but beware....

Just got back from a 3 night stay in the Hilton in Belfast. Hotel was lovely, very clean, friendly staff. We had booked an Executive room from Thursday to Sunday, this gave us access to the Executive Lounge which provides drinks and tea and coffee all day, as well as snacks and alcoholic drinks from 6pm - 8pm. This service is excellent during the week, however it's not maintained at weekends, lounge was dirty, no milk provided for tea, no glasses provided for drinks, limited bar etc etc. So if you are planning on booking a weekend break it's not worth paying the extra for the executive room. The swimming pool is small but adequate and well heated, however you will freeze in the changing rooms afterwards as there seems to be no heating at all in there!!!! Be early for breakfast at weekends as you may have to wait for a table! I would agree with the earlier post about the train noise in rooms of uneven numbers. If you are at the back of the hotel you will experience some train noise (from early in the morning!) adults will probably sleep through, however children will be awake at the crack of dawn, so ask for a room at the front of the hotel.

On the plus side, Staff were helpful, and the doormen make excellent tour guides. Food was excellent quality and room service was extremely quick. Location is good for shopping or if you are attending an event at the Odyssey or Waterfront (just next door!). Car parking is expensive but very handy as there is access from the car park directly into reception and your car is safe.

Just returned from a two night winter offer, of £69.50 per night, including dinner and breakfast. The hotel staff where polite and very helpfull. The meal was fantastic as was the breakfast. Belfast was great, shopping etc. Will hopefully go back real soon, and wont be staying anywhere else but the Hilton.Great location.

The Hilton has come to Belfast

I stayed here over Valentines weekend and thought the over all package was well worth the money. The rooms were clean, well lit and the mini bar just added that touch of class!

Havning stayed in afew hotels in Belfast, this should be the main choice for anyone.

Value for money

The Hilton Belfast was a really pleasant surprise, for what it cost the rooms were great - the pool small but with a nice glass ceiling, and their breakfasts great. Good location too, all in all highly recommended.

Luxury experience

from Alfie1920
The executive room was immaculate. Nice Molton Brown toiletries. Excellent service. Very tentative staff. Nothing was too much trouble, extra towelling robe, more towels. The star of the show is access to the executive lounge where you get, free drinks and nibbles all day. Excellent breakfast. You have to pay for parking. The car park is adjecent to the hotel and you get a discount voucher from hotel reception.

Great place

Stayed in the Hilton for a couple of nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Found the front desk staff to be very helpful and the service was excellent. The room was spacious and looked out over the River Lagan. The bathroom was a 'double' with an extra large bath. The trains did go past but this is a city centre hotel and they wern't that frequent. The self service breakfasts were plentiful with a wide range of different foods available. The car parking can be expensive and we paid £14 midweek and £10 weekend per day.
A great place to stay and a great city.

Top Local Tips for Belfast

Arriving by train to central station If you arrive by train from Dublin you can hop on a Metro bus outside the station (turn left when exited main entrance) - show your rail ticket and you get a free trip to centre city (only 5 minutes away by bus). This will drop you off right by City Hall/Donegall Square.

weather found weather in july very wet, better in september if lucky enough to get good weather go to visit Stormont House the grounds are spectacular

Use Taxis to get around Belfast The city of Belfast is very small indeed. I do not think you would ever require a bus, besides, you would have to wait 15-30 min for one anyways. Walking is the best option, and if you don't have time, a taxi will always cost less than a fiver. We took a hotel to the city airport from the Hilton for only £5.80, not bad as the bus would of cost us £5.25 for my wife and I.
