Stayed in this hotel on a two n ight weekend trip to Belfast. Hotel in handy location easily walkable to city centre for shops, bars and restaurants. Large car park adjacent to hotel.
Staff very friendly. Rooms excellent, modern , clean and spacious.
Bathrooms well equipped.
Small bar adjacent to reception with good selection of drinks available.
Restaurant on ground floor serving buffet style breakfast of good quality.
Used this restaurant for one evening meal and good menu with food to a good standard and moderately priced.

I took 16 elderly to the hotel and my first impression was good. We were greeted by friendly staff and quickly sorted out with our rooms. Unfortunately I collectively paid for the rooms on my card and every room was under my name! Anyone ordering dinner/drinks and gave their room number went onto my bill! Don't know what would happen if there was a fire they'd be looking for 16 people with the same name! The cleaning staff and rooms were excellent. We were going on a trip to the Antrim Coast and I was provided with a menu to take with me and asked if I could place an order for dinner in advance. We were due to sit down at 7.30pm. I made the call from the Giants Causeway and I was passed from one person to another and eventually told it didn't matter. Frustration!! I got our group together for 7.30pm and the restaurant was packed, I did voice my unhappiness to the manager and all was sorted. We got seated around 8pm, with wine (complimentary). I can honestly say the waitresses went out of their way to look after us. This was my first trip away with the elderly and they had a great time. It is close to town, the breakfast was fine, bar staff seemed lost!, alcohol measures debateable! all in all you get what you pay for, in this case I'd say we did very well. Even though I had a problem I would go again no worries.
Ideal for our needs

Booked the hotel for the 24th September at a special price of £60.The hotel is basic and centrally situated beside the railway and bus station. Around the hotel is the main road with the houses of Sandy Row.There is an open foyer with the bar and restaurant. We were on the sixth floor but the lift was fast enough. We had a big room with a view over Sandy Row. We had a very good traditional "Ulster Fry" buffet styled but no fried, only scrambled, egg. Security sign you in late at night as non-residents are not allowed after 12.00 midnight. We had parked the car and the hotel validates the ticket.
Very nice hotel

We have reently stayed for 4 nights in this hotel. I would say it was on a par with a Travel Inn/ Travel Lodge. It had everything you needed and was very clean. Towels were nice and big and fluffy and there is no need to take shower gel or soap as this is provided along with the complimentery bonnet de douche! Staff were very friendly and knowledgable of the area. Meals were very good and varied. Belfast is not a huge city and the hotel was very central, well within walking distance of all the local sights and amenities. The Crown Liquor bar is well worth a visit. Check out the website to see what I mean. www.crownbar.com complete with webcam. You must do the hop on/off open top bus tours, it's well worth it if you have taken the time to visit this lovely city. Tours of the lovely City Halls are free. We found that everyone was glad that you had visited this city now that the troubles are history. It's good to know that the Harland and Wolf cranes are now listed and therefore cannot be disassembled or sold on. Samson and Goliath have such presence over the city. Belfast is beautiful.
Nice Hotel

I stayed at this hotel for the weekend just past. It is very clean, comfortable and relaxing. The hotel bar is small but cosy. Reception staff were great - recommended a city tour which we throughly enjoyed. The hotel has their own car park which is free to guests, this is one of the main reasons why we chose to stay here. Very enjoyable stay and will definatley return!
Great value for money!

As a member of staff at the Oban tourist information centre, I spend a lot of my time assisting customers with hotel bookings. Usually I cannot find a quote from a hotel for less than £40 per person - and that does not necessarily guarantee a good standard of accommodation. However, for less than £70 for the room, the Days hotel provided a room of a high standard right in the city centre of Belfast, within walking distance of almost everything the city has to offer. When I return to Belfast, I will contact the Days hotel first.
?abrasive nasty hotel
from A TripAdvisor Member
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights early June 05. Although this is centrally located it is also in a rough part of town, I would not recommend walking around the area at night. The hotel puts on bouncer on the door at night but no protection once you leave the hotel.
?The hotel caters to working type travellers construction labors etc..., on company expensive.
These guests tend to be a bit noisy at night especially around 1 - 2 am when the bar is closing.
I also found that the hotel desk staff can be a bit abrasive, this may be due to the type of their clientele, I had one problem with the TV which the desk staff didn’t seem too interested in fixing.
The food in the hotel was ? nasty ?and dreadful including the buffet breakfast, everything fried in stale old cooking oil and you can smell it before you enter the dining room.
The only eggs are scrambled, over cooked, granular and bland, even tomato ketchup does help. The tea and coffee was dispensed out of a machine and tasted of stew tea leafs or watered down coffee, the orange juice tasted like the power type.
Hygiene was also in question, I noticed the cook resting the bottom of an old cooking tin on top of the scrambled eggs while he organized the greasy sausages.
This hotel reminded me of a second rate institution rather than a hotel, however, the room was clean with fresh linen.
For the quality of service this hotel is over priced. I found much better deals for less money.

Highly sexed staff!!!

We were impressed with the rooms of the "Days", but not the staff!! We arrived on the friday and decided to try their restaraunt. Once two of the staff had managed to put each other down and we eventually got a menu we discovered that there was not a lot of choice as a few things were not available. I ordered a medium steak, which had been cremated, but said nothing as we were starving. We recieved our bill which came to £62 and gave the supervisor £65 she came running after us to tell us we had given her too much and returned £30 to us. We are still trying to work out the bill....hahaha
Once we had met our friends we decided to take them back to our hotel for a last drink, only to be met by two pitbull terriors (bouncers) they told us that our friends were not allowed in after 12pm...we were 9 mins late. They did let us in however but watched us like we were their prey. Our friends left.
After a days shopping on the saturday we thought we would give the restaraunt another chance....wrong choice. There was all of six tables with eating guests, not too busy one would have thought, wrong again!! We asked the waitress for a menu, an ashtray and 2 drinks. We waited and waited as she was fraternising with the waiter!! We had to ask again if we could have our order!! 20 mins passed, had our drink and left!!
If you fancy a really good meal, then go to Maddisons, great food, fab atmosphere and lovely staff!!!
