A central B&B hotel in Shanklin; only 10 minutes walk to the railway station, 5 min. to the bus station. Close to the town centre, and only a few minutes walk to the beach.
The interior was very clean and tidy,and the couple running the place were very nice.
The only negative comment might be some traffic noise from the road.
Absolutely recommendable!

Top Local Tips for Shanklin

Islandline railway If you are staying in Shanklin, Sandown or Ryde for a week or so and not have a car, a 7 day season tickets could save you pounds. They are available from Ryde esplanade, you just need a passport size photo. You can then hop-on-hop-off anywhere on route.

Bus travel If you are on the island for a week pay for a bus pass. it cost us 20 pounds each and was well worth the money. You can hop on and off as often as you like. Lots of places to visit on the island. Buses were frequent in the tourist season.

For the Beach Walking, bathing, cycling, dining are all first rate in this area
