My wife and I stayed for four days. We were made welcome as soon as arriving and felt immediately at home. The breakfasts were excellent and our room was comfortable. We both have no hesitation in recommending the Havelock to everyone and look forward to returning next year for a longer stay.

Top Local Tips for Shanklin

Pubs! There are a lovely cluster of Pubs in Old Shanklin, the other end of Shanklin in a little run down and has some seedy looking places, best to ignor it!

Two Good Meals!! The Spyglass Inn which is about a 10 minute drive away in Ventnor is really worth a vist - The food is great. Also the Crab in which is 5 minutes walk from the hotel in the Old Shanklin Village was good for food too.

Eating out There are plenty of places to eat but many get very busy. If there is somewhere you particularly want to go, book ahead.
