and I DO MEAN CHEAP! Felt we should be surrendering our ration books to the smarmy manager. WON'T go there again!!! The girls who served breakfast & cleaned the rooms were nice and did a good job but the breakfasts were rubbish, sausages like plastic and soft cereals left at the buffet day after day. NO, don't go there!

Me and my partner spent a 8 nights at the Villa Isis in august 2010, i will break my review down in to sections with final thoughts at the end, To cut a long story short!...

Outside of the Hotel:-
Upon arrival of the hotel we were pleasently greeted with a Isis hotel, all painted in White with a Blue finish on the outside, full marks for the external appearance.

Inside of Hotel:-
Half decent inside, lovely bar area but decoration of the insides make you understand that this is a 1star hotel.

Room:-
Room was well equipped, not so bad shower (lowish pressure) 14" crt TV (no Digital TV, had to put up with Digital TV warnings with the analgoue switch off) Double glazed window, which did shut properly but was not sound proof at all, during Friday and Saturday nights the road side rooms are able to listen in on late night revelers conversations (explict language) Cars with Music Blaring. it seems the hotel is positioned at a point where people walk home by. In general you can hear everything outside.
The Bed was extremely creeky! even if you lifted your little finger it sounded like a piano falling down some stairs!, on the plus side though well u can guess what i mean!!, If your with your partner have a laugh and go for it!

Breakfast:-
Buffet for cereal and juice, which is great! but the fry up is not great. Bacon Top draw, sausages are revolting, after the first 2 days of breakfast we did not go back for anymore. ( Go to the little greek cafe in the royal courtyard near the cock and bottle pub for a superb breakfast roll)
My Partner commenteted that the Pot of Tea you were given had only 1 tea back which meant it was very week because of too much water.

Staff:-
No problems really nice staff helpful and always a smile on their faces.

Overall:-
For me this is not a Holiday Hotel. Jersey is an expensive place and if you can afford to come on holiday and you are considering coming to the isis then i would save up another month more and go a month later and go to a hotel with a 3 Star. This Hotel is for anyone who has relatives who they are visiting and needs a roof over there heads. I am sure this was a nice hotel perhaps 20 years ago but everything is tidy and clean but the place needs modernising desperatly. it would not take much either, new carpets, new beds, new bedroom furniture, perhaps better windows roadside, New digital TVs, and finally remove the wallpaper back to the plaster and complete a room with the same wallpaper style, the room we were in had 1 style for 3 strips then a different design for the next 2 and then back to the original style then another style, and then someone has painted over the whole lot in pink.

Me and my other half stayed there for 1 night at the start of March 2010 and had a lovely time at this quaint little hotel. We were the only residents there and had total freedom of the hotel. The couple running this place were very friendly and made us feel very comfortable - even allowing us to keep our luggage in the room until the late afternoon of our departure date. We will definitely be returning to Jersey and staying at the Villa Isis again, especially if we can get such a great deal again!

I Stayed for a week at Villa Isis Last year,it was a small family run hotel which was very welcoming. as we came into the hotel the manager was waiting there to greet us. In our room there was a Kettle and 2 cups, coffee and tea and hot chocolate and sugar, the en suite and nice and clean. the rooms were cleaned every day except Sunday and had fresh towels. i would go back anytime. although it doesn't have a swimming pool its sister hotel the Norfolk did and you were aloud to go down there and use there facilities any time you wished. i loved my holiday to jersey it was great. there is plenty to see and do.A must is Jersey Pearl it was lovely and if your a lady you'll never get yourself outta there! if your looking for a nice place to eat try Dix Neuf in the town its a French restaurant with loveley food , service and of course prices! every mornig a rep came into the hotel and people could book trips, we went to France for a day which was lovely although remember to bring an umbrella as if its hot then it may very suddenly turn to a thunderstorm!! St.Malo Was volley little walled town which was very quaint. the shops were great too!the hotel also has a bar where you can sit at night and have a chat with other guests! the family who ran it were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast were fantastic! we hired a car and traveled around the island. we throughly enjoyed our holiday and we would DEFINITELY go back to the Villa Isis!! If you want any more information about our stay please do not hesitate to email me

I am just home from a weeks saty at the villa isis. It's a small friendly hotel where the staff are happy to help. The breakfast is nice as there is a buffet to choose from first with cereals grapefruite prunes orange juice etc ect..! Then there is a menu on your table as you can then order a full english fry if you wish. Overall = friendly staff , clean friendly hotel , good food .... what more could you ask for?!

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Villa Isis. It is a small friendly hotel and very clean, a bar where you can sit and have a chat at night with the other guests, a bus stop at the door takes you into Gorey for the day. This hotel is opposite the Howard Davis Park a place not to be missed. 5 minutes takes you into town. We had a very enjoyable week here.
