We have just returned from a stay at The Norfolk Lodge. As soon as we entered the hotel we were greeted with friendly, helpful staff. We were shown to our room and given plenty of information about meals etc. Our family room was very spacious and comfortable. It was spotless, the decor was fresh. The rest of the hotel was equally as clean and tidy, even the car park was swept every morning! The location was in easy reach of St Hellier. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here, Fantastic!
Simply the best

We have just returned from the Norfolk Lodge and I have to say the treatment we received was 5*. We could not have received better treatment anywere else. My mother took ill while we were there and the staff were excellent. Beatrice is just a delight and the manager is faultless. This was our 4th stay and I can assure you we will be back wouldnt think of staying anywhere else. Not forgetting DJ Maggie, my grandson loves her. Things have changed in the hotel which I dont mind because at least you can look at the delicious food that Sean cooks and make your mind up. The only comment I would make is I would prefer a teapot instead of carrying cups backwards and forwards. However, I can live with the way you do things and the staff work very hard. Once again WELL DONE.
Staff generally very helpful

Do NOT stay in room 4. The room above it has the creakiest floor boards on earth. Imagine a family of 4 with 2 young kids running about all day and night - you'll never sleep. The shower in the room is fantastic though.

Having stayed at the Norfolk 19-26 june 2007, we found that the hotel, location, food ect was first class. The staff from the manager down to the cleaners could not do enough for us. They were very friendly, and very helpful. We will stay at the Norfolk again on our next visit. Thankyou to all of the staff for a great week.

Don't agree with one of the reviews i.e food been out of the Tesco value range, my grandchildren are fussy eaters and think the food is great and just for the record if you are thinking of staying at the Norfolk lodge I would be booking half board as the food is excellent value for money. Rooms are dated but clean. See you in September. The Thompson Family. Stockton-On-Tees.

We have stayed at this hotel and have booked for a third time. We were worried this holiday would not suit our grandsons but they absolutely loved and will not stay at any other hotel. We have booked for September and the boys can't wait to get there. Well done to all the staff. The Thompson family

Very friendly and helpful staff but let down by dated rooms (circa 1970) and breakfast from the Tesco value range.
Very friendly.

Stayed here for 1 week from 16th August-23rd August 2006. This hotel was an excellent introduction for my young daughter as to how to behave and how to expect to be treated in a hotel. The staff were extremely polite and yet friendly at all times. The rooms were very neat and tidy with heavy doors that closed quietly by themselves and didn't let any sound through..thus ensuring quiet nights. Clean towels every day. Breakfasts were okay, waitress service for toast and croissants and help-yourself for a cooked breakfast. The evening meals were really nice..3 courses, priced at £11.95 for me and £6.50 for my 7 year old daughter. We were bed and breakfast but felt the evening meals were reasonably priced so ended up having them most evenings. Swimming pool was clean with fresh towels provided..there were arm bands available by the poolside so we didn't have to buy any and a small play room with lots of buckets and spades and fishing net which could be borrowed so we didn't need to buy these either for the beach. Felt the whole atmosphere at this hotel was very friendly, staff were so approachable and nothing was a problem for them. Children seemed to be well liked by all staff and maybe this contributed to all the kids being cheerful and happy. Loved it!!

Top Local Tips for Jersey
Jersy attractions Plenty of places to visit, you need to hire a car and plenty of walking.
Seeing the island It's definitely worth hiring a car whilst there, you'll miss out on so much of the island otherwise.
First day advise For those not wishing to hire a car you will find that the buses are first rate and the drivers very helpful. For a quick tour of the island, take return trips, one east and the other west. This will only cost £1.50 each person for each trip. You can then take notes of places you wish to explore further.
