Having stayed at the Mornington in September 2005 with a group of friends, after being relocated the hotel due to a tour operator mix up, I have to say that the hotel has a very homely feel to it and all the staff are very friendly, nothing is too much trouble, and I know that everyone in our group will agree that the food - all home cooked - from the massive continental breakfast to the evening meal we had, is nothing short of magnificent, plentiful, piping hot where necessary and very very tasty. I am more than happy to recommend this hotel to anyone whether it is for a short break or longer holiday.

Value Lack of small eating places.Excellent bus services Smaller shops appeared to give better choice and value than the large department stores where prices seemed to be the same as the mainland. Small but good market

Busy Roads and Restricted Parking For a stress-free holiday, don't bother hiring a car. Jersey has a good bus service and all routes radiate from St. Helier. Taxis are never cheap, but are a good alternative. The streets are narrow and very busy during rush hours. Parking close to accomodation can be a problem.
