Good Service, Staff, Clean Hotel

This hotel is only a few minutes walk to either the beach or shops,it is very clean throughout(including our room)& the staff & service were excellent. No complaints with our meals(4 course in Evenings)and I rate this hotel good value for money.The only negatives were tables in dining room were too close together, which involved sharing with others in regimented straight lines & also no Satellite/Freeview TV in our rooms, so a limited choice of programmes, although there is free internet access in the lobby.We would definately stay here again though.

Top Local Tips for Jersey

Restaurants Its quite hard to find a decent restaurant, which surprised us. In the end we found the Olive Branch and PizzaExpress to be the best (!) Many shut on sunday nights.

Getting around Use the bus services rather than a Taxi

Travel and getting around etc etc We walked around too much round the shops almost daily which was boring and ended up with my mother suffering from exhaustion and sore painful legs and we got tired and i did not see as much attractions as would have liked too. I unfortunately did not get to see much of the entertainment at Merton hotel or enjoy the Disco as Mum was tired so at night often went to bed early but on our day to return home via Jersey/Manchester airport England U.K we did go to St Brelaids and St Aubins and sat around relaxing on a very warm day 9 June 2007 with 22 degrees of sunshine so got suntanned and we got here from capital by 12 or 14 bus costing just £1.50 anywhere which were cheaper than coach trips out and the buses were great and regular and we went to Rozel and Corbiere lighthouse and Guernsey which is smaller island and hilly and very nice but not as nice as Jersey in my opinion but having said that did not see the beaches at Guernsey but did a coach tour and saw smallest chapel
