Very friendly staff, very good food and a good choice of it. The rooms were very clean at all times although I would avoid the front rooms as they are very noisy and the 'smokers hideaway' meant a lot of chatter and the constant smell of smoke. If you don't like a hot room you would not like to be there in the high summer as the room was very warm even in Septmber and no air conditioning or fan was available.
Having said that, we will return - but not in the summer!

We have just returned from a week in the Mayfair hotel Jersey which we booked ourselves online. The hotel was clean and comfortable, but we were not informed that we had to use a particular table at breakfast. There was nobody at the door on our first morning to direct us, so we found a table and started our breakfast. A waiter came to us and was very rude and made us move in the middle of our breakfast. I have never been spoken to like that before in a hotel. The first three nights we were kept awake by young lads climbing out of the sports room and onto the roof just below our room. They must have gone home after three days because it was then quiet at night. The girl who cleaned our room was lovely. We enjoyed our holiday in Jersey and will return, but not to the Mayfair.
Great place to stay

It was my first time in Jersey. It was a very nice hotel with alot of character, the meals were avarge, but the staff were excellent. The hotel is in a brilliant place with alot to do around you inside and out e.g. jet skiing etc so my final review. I think this hotel for young people is good
Nice clean hotel and very friendly staff

Our family recently stayed for a week and found the hotel very clean with very friendly staff, our youngest slept well in his cot which we found was no travel cot but a proper one just like at home, the food in the restaurants was of a high standard and our waiter José was always on hand but not in your face like other hotels we have stayed in. This was our first visit to jersey but it will not be our last and we know what hotel we will be staying in when we go back
Friendly staff

This year was my second visit with mum and dad and I really enjoyed myself our waiter (Robert) was great as was Victor last year. The reception staff would always help me with the computer even though they were probably busy with other things and I loved the pool, always something to do. Thank you and I hope we are able to return soon.
Great hotel and entertainment

I was pleasantly surprised by the well run hotel the food was good ,although they could have provided a better salad menu as I don't eat any fish and I don't eat many meats. But my mother enjoyed the entire menu from starters to sweets. The entertainment compare and diamond was fantastic and had you laughing all night. Great hotel for little ones. Any age catered for. Will be booking again for next year lovely friendly place.

Myself and my family of 3 children have just returned from a very pleasant stay at the Mayfair. My only gripe would be that there wasn't enough for the under 5's to do. The entertainment didn't start till after 9 and was geared towards the older guests. The pool was too deep and there was little else on offer! The children's menu in dining room was also a bit limited.
Excellent service, comfortable, good food quality and wonderful, helpful staff

We as a family rated the Mayfair very highly. Food quality excellent for the hotel rating, very helpful staff, wonderful service etc. Quality of furnishings very good, immaculate cloakrooms, nicely furnished bar area etc. The only minor negative comment would be that the bedrooms have been very warm and we had to ask for a fan. In our opinion a ceiling fan should be fitted in the bedrooms as they became very oppressive on the warmer days. We would recommend this hotel very highly to colleagues and friends. Excellent value for money.
Highly recommend it!

bus service Use the buses as fare is always £1 .50,this takes you anyway on the island and service is simple and frequent.
local transport local transport i.e buse was very good and reasonably priced but only for the fit as they were very busy when we were there and people have to stand.
Elizabeth castle Must visit - very interesting. Gunner Gilson excellent guide - one of the best I've encountered. Watch the tide !!
