Staff pleasant and helpful. Room clean and well maintained through the week. Location - within easy reach of bus (or a walk into St. Hellier) A very pleasant and relaxing week - we will return.

Really pleasant stay

The first thing to mention is that the staff are some of the nicest most helpful hotel staff I have come across. In particular the manager, breakfast and bar staff. They really made you feel welcome - even the two little monkeys er I mean kids! The hotel was clean and very pleasant to stay in - the decor was good and recent. The bedroom was clean and of a good standard - towels changed daily, beds made promptly. The breakfasts has a good choice if somewhat samey after two weeks. As for the noise mentioned in the other review - we were second floor facing onto the road - you can hear local traffic but not too seriously - i never disturbed the two young children or us. Harve de pas is a very good location and you can easily walk into St Helier from the hotel.

Our room was on the first floor second one in from the very busy main road and on top of the kitchen! We were disturbed every morning at around 5.a.m. by noisy heavy traffic and the smell of food cooking especially onions. The room was adequate however smelt very strongly of stale cigarette smoke, after reqsting a non smoking room. The pillows were old and exhausted. The 'fire' door in the dining room was padlocked. Regular member of staff very pleasent and cheerful on recpetion, and one waiter in the breakfast room. Very dissapointing accommodation and not a reflection on the cost paid.
