We did not have a car with us on this occasion, but I do echo other comments made about the hotel parking situation - there is none! The hotel is facing a fairly main road and with the sea on two sides and other buildings on the third side there simply is nowhere to put a car park. If you do have a car, be prepared to look for alternative parking.
The hotel is located some 15 minutes walk (partially up a gentle hill) from the centre of St Helier.
The hotel staff were pleasant, apparently mostly French but with other nationalities, all of whom appeared to speak fluent English. Plenty of staff available generally throughout our short stay.
The room we were allocated was on the second floor and largely acceptable, albeit a little on the small side and overlooking a downstairs roof before out to the sea bathing pool past a seaweed covered beach. I do believe that other rooms upstairs facing out to sea would have been larger with a better view. The room was nevertheless clean and reasonably decorated, shower but no bath, TV but with only the 4 standard channels - no satellite TV etc. Room cleaned every day we stayed. No safe in the room, nor (to my knowledge) internet access. A lift is available to the upper floors.
Had a quick look at the indoor pool which looked fairly basic but adequate although we did not try it.
The breakfast was buffet style, with plentiful cereals, juices, cooked breakfasts etc to choose from. We were met with a cheery good morning by the staff every morning.
The hotel bar was adequate although it looked as though it was not generally used. Seems people would rather go out for the evening than utilise the hotel bar. It did seem to us that at the weekend we stayed there, the majority of the guests were senior (some substantially) to us. A singing duo was in the hotel bar one evening, presumably adjusting their music to meet the tastes of the more mature residents. There are however other bars or pubs a short walk away for those that may prefer an alternative.
The dinner menu again looked adequate and along the lines one would expect from a hotel of this size and budget, although we preferred to eat out during our stay.
Other than the bar and the pool the hotel does have limited other facilities (a small games room for young children, a quiet lounge area more suited to senior residents).
The beach at the back of the hotel looked less covered in seaweed than the side beach.
In general the hotel was clean, reasonably decorated, the staff were helpful and courteous and the rooms clean albeit a little on the small side. The hotel is largely acceptable for the budget it caters for, however do watch out for the lack of car parking and the entertainment which perhaps caters for a more senior generation of clientele. On the whole a worthy 5 out of 10.

On arrival the staff didn't speak English and they seemed to be very sparse. The room was clean and suited our purpose...but the outside noise was a negative.
We used the pool several times and it was pretty good.
We did not dine there, but the buffet breakfast was fine.
If you are taking a car this is not the hotel for you.
I prefer De Normandie to this hotel

Top Local Tips for Jersey
The island An absolute gem of a place with wonderful scenery, good restaurants, great walk and something for everyone.
Bring the bikes There are some very pleasant family bike rides to be done on Jersey. The island's too small and cramped to interest serious cyclists, and the main roads are busy, but there is a network of "green lanes" with a 15mph speed limit. These and other quiet country lanes can take you to villages, castles and beaches around the island. There's also a traffic free trail that leads along the promenade west from St Helier and along an old railway line to the lighthouse at Corbiere. The Jersey Tourism website has a some suggested routes with maps.
No need for a car. Use the local bus service, it's only £1 or £1.50 per person for wherever you travel on the island.
