| Great location and pleasant staff |
We also booked this hotel with a degree of trepidation after reading other reviews. Our experience was very positive, OK the decor was looking a little tired but it was not bad and was very clean. The food was basic but good and certainly not expensive. The leisure facilities were good and the kids loved the indoor pool. The staff were very helpful indeed and the rooms good. |

| A lovely hotel in the very best location. |
After reading what I can only describe now as a vindictive review my wife and I booked with a certain amount of trepidation. We need not have worried, we found the Apollo a lovely hotel, both the breakfast and evening meal were of a very high standard served in a pleasant dining room by friendly and afficient staff. We booked a ' Superior ' room at little extra cost which overlooked the outdoor pool and sufferred no noise pollution ( apart from the early morning seagulls ). I did hear one guest with a room at the front of the hotel complaing about traffic noise. The car park was spacious and the location of the hotel could not be beaten. |

| Nice people trying to give good service |
The booking staff were helpfull and accommodating. Rooms were well placed, clean with good facillities. Staff were polite and eager to help, reception quick to respond. Breakfasts were good with plenty of food. On half board, evening meals not so good. Thanks to all for another very pleasant stay. |

| Most expensive tin of ravioli in town |
Sorry, absolutely abysmal. The food was revolting and inedible. I was actually served a can of heinz ravioli microwaved in a bowl as a course on a £13.50 set menu. honest. from a tin, no doubt. none of the food is fresh, and even the vegetables have been processed. We were kept up until 1am by loud disco music, and when we complained the manager could not have cared less. The rooms were tired, the shower hot and cold intermittently, and the paint was peeling and tiles cracked. The staff seem embaressed at the standard of this hotel, and some are very nice and others, I am afraid are simply surly and bored. Try anywhere, but don't try here. |

| Apollo hotel |
Dreadful place. Gym was closed. Double bed wasn't really a double but 2 single beds zipped up together. The smoking room requested was a non smoking room on the 2nd floor despite the fact that there were plenty of smoking rooms available on the first floor. The evening meal buffet was as basic as it gets and despite having paid for half board we ate out on our 2nd night at our own expense. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. |
