This hotel is the worst hotel i have ever stayed in, i have seen pictures on another site making the hotel look quite serene and pleasant but they are far from the truth, there is too swimming pools both murky and disgusting (i wouldn't even push my worst enemy in there) there is never anyone on reception, everywhere is dirty, mouldy and run down, no work is done there and i would advise anyone to stay away from this hotel!

We have just returned from a 4 day break at this so called hotel. With the exception of the breakfast everything else was dire and well below an acceptable standard. There was no shower, mould on the bathroom ceiling, peeling artext, cracked walls, wardrobe door handle hanging off, heater didn't work in bathroom, rising damp and a DISGUSTING, FILTHY, DIRTY side entrance which we were expected to use, which incidentally was a fire exit left open!!! (I have photographs to substantiate all these comments and will be passing them on to the relevant parties)

great staff, poor amenities

While the breakfasts were very substantial and the staff were friendly and helpful the hotel itself was below average. The rooms needed updating, especially the bathroom - had to boil the kettle to have a hot bath. The outside pool was green and the indoor pool although adequate had very basic changing rooms and no water to shower with. The childrens play area had three rotten/broken swings and a climbing frame covered in vines/brambles.We also had to pay for the childrens meals at the hotel, naively we thought we'd paid it in the price of the holiday but we ended up having to pay £5.50 each day for each of the children for breakfast. The aspect could have been improved with a lick of paint and all the dead flowers being removed.

Had a great time at this hotel, I took my son with me who is 11 and he loved it and wants to go back this year. The staff were great and the food was great. My room was lovely and had views of the front of the hotel. I will be going back soon but in the summer months this time. Thanks for reading.

Bad experience - lesson learned

Hotel was very average, food a bit disappointing. We wanted a room with a shower and ours had no shower. When we requested a move to another room we were told that 'Guernsey doesn't have the water pressure for showers so no hotels have them'. this was a blatant lie. We changed hotels the next day. It cost more but it was worth it.

Worst Hotel

This is the worst so-called hotel that me and my wife have ever had the dis-pleasure of booking into. The room was filthy, the bar staff abusive and the food was disgusting (I sent my so-called meal back, a mushroom omelette-minus the mushrooms)When we complained to the 'then' manager we were told to pack our bags and get out. This was after one days stay. If you are considering booking this so-called hotel, you have been warned!

Five star staff & service, but in a two star building. Food OK. Hotel very clean, but in need of an update - good by Guernsey standards, but lacking for UK! We had a great time, and hope to go back again.

Hotel in good location - but in need of TLC!

We found the hotel public areas generally clean and tidy if rather dated - staff helpful and friendly. However our room did have a damp patch on ceiling and some peeling of wallpaper - pool area OK but showers lacked hot water!
