We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Le Chalet Hotel. We found all the staff extremely pleasant, welcoming, friendly, helpful and efficient. We are glad we upgraded to half board as we couldn't fault the food or the efficiency of the restaurant staff. The location was beautiful. The room was excellent. We would have no hesitation in booking another stay at this hotel. Thank you for making our holiday great.

So Relaxing

I booked this several months prior to going in secret as it was for a surprise 5 day break to celebrate my wifes 40th. ALL the staff were helpfull and friendly, infact they couldnt do enough to ensure we were having a fabulous time. The guests are more mature than what we were used to ,HOWEVER, no screaming kids or drunk all night parties made thsi for a relaxing romantic break. Just what we wanted. Oh and the food and selection of beverages were superb. And if you wanted to walk off your excesses then the short walk to Fermain Bay was breathtaking ! If your after a quieter,more laid back relaxed break then "Le Chalet" is definately the place to go. Ray...keep up the good work.

Great Service and staff

Our second visit to Le Chalet, this time to celebrate New Year 2009. Greeted at the front door by one of the owners and felt at home immediately. We had been given the same spacious A grade room overlooking the woodland and the bay - most of the staff were the same as in September 2008 and extremely efficient and friendly - we met two other couples during our stay with whom we will keep in touch and meet up with in the future. We believe the success of the hotel is down to the three partners who run it so efficiently and thoughtfully and to the staff they employ. We look forward to another visit in the future.

Had a lovely break. Smashing room with sea view. Excellent food and friendly staff Only fault was a bit chilly in hotel at times as the weather was terrible!

A Hidden Jewel!!

We have just returned from a short break spent at The Chalet and have to save the service and friendly staff made our holiday. Take your swimming costumes to take advantage of the pool and sauna. The breakfast was great and the meal in the bar was as good as many first class resturants. Well done!!

Friendly, comfortable and excellent food

I've just spent a week with my Mum at this excellent hotel. We had a twin A room with a view of Sark. The location was excellent and the staff were very friendly - especially the waiters and owners. They couldn't do enough for you. We booked half board and the food was excellent and delicious with a very good choice of wines - all reasonably priced. In fact excellent value all round. I had to make regular use of the exercise bike and spa pool to try and keep off piling on too many pounds (and it worked). The hotel is a real sun trap - I never imagined that when I packed my bikini optimistically that I would actually use it. We bought a wave and save bus ticket (there is not need to hire or bring a car as the Guernsey bus service is excellent) but there was also a coutesey bus from the hotel and there was frequently 'added value' in them taking you that bit further to catch the ferries to Sark and Herm. Thank you Le Chalet for a wonderful break.

A great Hotel

Our first visit to Le Chalet has been wonderful. We were booked on half board basis and found the food excellent. A great menu each day. We had an Aplus room with small balcony overlooking Fermain Bay which was very comfortable and spacious. The staff were so friendly and very efficient. We have already provisionally booked for next year.

We have spent many wonderful holidays at The Le Chalet and was looking forward to our nine days there this year. Unfortunately we were not told the hotel was under new management which was a disappointment to start with. When we arrived we were left waiting atthe reception desk for at least 5 minutes whilst the receptionist was messing about on her PC,we were taken to our A plus room which was ok although had a very stale smell. We had only B&B as in previous years have eaten in the bar as the menu was so good. This was a big mistake the meals were awful everthing was just dumped onto the plate vegetables all mixed up together and I can only assume frozen and to crown it all tinned new potatoes. The breakfast was ok but nothing like the buffet style in previous years which was vast even down to four different jugs of milk all labelled. There was a package group holiday of walkers staying in the hotel each week and they had meetings, lectures in the lounge every evening so the rest of the guests had to sit in one corner keeping silent,or go into the bar. We came home two days early and we were not offered a refund in fact our final bill for food and bar was totally incorrect as one does not have to sign a chitty any more so we had no proof. Would we go back NO not under that management we are so saddened by this as we have had so many wonderful holidays staying there.
