Horrible Hotel

The hotel was very dirty, scruffy and smelly (smoke). It was absolutely disgusting. It was so bad we slept in the car then luckily found another hotel the following day.

Although the hotel requires some maintenance we found the room comfortable and clean with the exception of the carpet which was past its best. The staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was good and the service very friendly. The location was quite and there is a bus stop directly outside the hotel if you do not want to use your car. Value for money.

Great staff who tried hard

This was value for money and the staff were very good. The food was good and varied and we were very pleased, though the wine list was a little restricted. The hotel itself could do with some maintenance work, but I had no real complaints.I was especially impressed with the way they dealt with problems that could affect any business. A great place for visiting Guernsey.

We had booked a double and arrived mid afternoon, room n but it was a twin (no tv), with tiles bulging off the shower wall. Went to reception and asked for a double, was told it would be a 2 hour wait, went and had a look at new room (no tv), a Polish made was being moved out (she was scooping her possesions off the dressing table)!! Asked for a tv. Returned 10.30pm, fancied a cuppa, there were no facilities. Turned the tv on, no ariel, hooked a wire over a door and got a dodgy picture, there was no tv controller and buttons were missing off the tv!! Tried the bed, lumpy, with sharp springs on the verge of impaling us. Flipped mattress over to see if it was any better and found a large dead bug!! Stayed that night and moved out the following morning, recieved a refund, even though we were originally told we'd have to pay for the night we stayed!!! Luckily I have family on the island, so phoned an aunt, and she said we could stay with her for the rest of the holiday. DO NOT risk...... Read more

A fantastic few days the service with a smile was outstanding the food and accommodation was absolutely stunning, the chef went out of his way to accommodate my wife’s special dietary needs. Will be returning again this year as I can’t wait till next year. Home from home.
