Grange Lodge Hotel Guernsey

I was booked in by my company. The hotel is at the top of a hill coming out of St Peter port. I did not have a hire car if walking into St Peter port, the walks quite good, the best way back is by bus. Room was comfortable and food in the bar was good.

Only spent a few days here, but was pleased with the service and standard of the hotel, Handy location just outside of the main town, regular busses down the hill.

On arrival we were greeted with a smile by the friendly staff and felt "at home" straight away. Our room, which overlooked the large swimming pool was comfortable, clean and spacious. We had the chance to speak to the owner who informed us that alot of the produce used in the restaurant is homegrown and picked by himself in the large vegetable garden tucked away behind the beautifully kept grounds(you can't get more bio than that!). We found him to be a friendly and interesting gentleman, who obviously takes great pride in his business and he even bought us a drink in the relaxing hotel bar, what more could you ask for?

We have been there for 3 times and it was allways the friendly people/stuff, wonderful old fashioned house, charming garden, the absolutly good food and the familiar atmosphere that makes us come again.

Always welcoming friendly place. Makes you feel right at home. Can't fault the food, service or staff. That together with location makes it a perfect choice everytime and better than 5*.
