Friendly & welcoming
A comfortable and well furnished hotel in most attractive setting with views along wooded valley to sea. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient particularly their maitre D who exercised full control over restaurant whilst presenting perfect image to diners. Food and wine of a good standard although breakfasts could be improved, mainly quality of coffee and the use of ghastly fully skimmed milk (no other milk available)which ruins any coffee. Eggs rarely cooked as requested and invariably yolks hard. Hotel rooms nicely furnished and comfortable and 24 hour complimentary tea and coffee a nice touch. Be prepared for aircraft noise starting at about 7am as hotel appears under flight path from Guernsey airport. All in all stay was a pleasant experience and I would be happy to return.

The Worst 4 Star I Have ever Spent Money on
Nobody to help you carry in your luggage, no one at the desk that tha can answer any of your questions, no formal concierge, but worse, refusal to acknowledge that a conceirge or at least someone with ability to answer questions to the traveller is obligatory for a 4 star 'gold' in fact, they call themselves...instead, for the rate you pay, they tell you to go look it up on Google, be sure to ask for the Password when you check in, or you will have to go get it yourself, rooms have no ventilation -- you can adjust by adjusting the balcony doors and windows -- that is if you can get them open. If I write more, I may have to pack up and leave tonight, especially since their check out time is emphatically 10:30. I'm just not clear any more as to what a 4 Star Hotel is. I'm scared to ask if I can print something as in a business office, for fear it will frustrate my attempt to have check in here, thinking I would get work done here, better than at the very friendly 2 and 3 stars down th...Read more

Beware the loud kitchen extract fan
Lovely hotel but don't book the cheapest class of rooms as they are directly below the kitchens which have an extremely loud extract fan. And there cheapest rooms are £160 a night so I would not expect to have to put up with noise for that price!
