I had a lovely time!

My room was beautiful, clean and fresh! The food was homemade and the staff were very friendly. The garden is delightful and the Island of Guernsey is stunning! I couldn't fault this Hotel - don't be put off by negative comments, sometimes nothing is good enough for some people! I was very impressed all round! Only gripe was the portions were generous and I put one weight!

We booked a Superior room for a break and a birthday celebration.The room was in the roof, the TV not as advertised it had an indoor ariel and only 4 basic channels. We never had an evening meal as the menus were not around to see. When we arrived there wasn't anyone in reception, we noted initially the desk in reception was covered in papers. The husband and wife were friendly enough, but their priorities seem to be towards their regular clients particulary business clients.

Superior room?? as TV not as advertised, only 4 basic channel and indoor aerial. We never had an evening meal as menus were not available. When we arrived no one was in reception, the desk was covered in papers! The management were friendly, but they appeared to prioritise the regular clients in particular the business clients.

My boyfriend booked a Valentine's Surprise for us and we stayed there. It was really good fun and the food was great! Very peaceful, very clean and comfortable! Will definitely be returning!

Lovely little Break!

The hotel is lovely - an eclectic mix of old and new. Food is wonderful. Breakfast was yum. Definitely recommend, it's all new and clean. Great for all old, young, chidren. And it's a good laugh too! Not expensive and value for money - the Channel Islands are so pretty. Go explore!

I loved it!

It's really friendly and family run. Most welcoming. The menu's were available from mid afternoon - they also do special dietary needs - as I have a wheat intolerance they adjusted the menus especially for me. Where else would do that? It's only a two star hotel - but should be four star.

Clean & Tidy but slow service

Clean and comfortable. There is little encouragement to have an evening meal here. More like active discouragement. Menus not easily available for scrutiny, and the one we did see did not inspire. Breakfast - the food was fine but the service was appalingly slow. It took over an hour to get our cooked breakfast on two consecitive mornings. Very frustrating. There was an obvious shortage of serving staff and a problem in the kitchen.

The Hotel's owners Karen and Ian made me feel very welcome. The food was lovely and the garden so peaceful. Will certainly be back and would recommend a stay at this place!
