Shopping The Shambles and Little Shambles are great places to people watch and shop. There are many many stores and places to eat.

Train Journey Don't go by car, always stressful, take a train, with advance booking. Select your routes carefully, and avoid Arriva if you can. Cross Country is a very comfortable service. Travel light, less hassle, and you never use all the clothes anyway! Ghost walks, only try if you believe there are any. In the Minster, wait for inclusive giude tour, so much more informative. Visit the Museum in the park, traces whole history of York. Avoid Yorvik centre, a bit like Disney ride passing stalls with waxworks.
