We stayed for 3 nights half board the food was fantastic [great chef] the rooms were comfortable. The hotel is in the process of being repainted so a strong smell of paint permeated our section of the hotel that being said the staff were great and ever so helpful would defo stay here again.

This is a 4 diamond rated hotel (not a 4 star). Excellent value for money and lovely warm greeting on arrival from the reception staff. Food was nice, although a little slow on service sometimes. We were on a bonus break, which included complimentary glasses of wine each night, and a fruit basket and wine in our spacious room. We had a scenic view room, which gave us a lovely view of the village below and lake windermere (one and a half miles away). This hotel is situated on a hill which may not be good for older people with walking problems! Recommended!
