Bad bed, bad breakfast

This is a typical UK seaside B&B, and if it was £60 or £70 per night, it would be just fine. However, we paid £155 per night to stay here! The owners are trying to make this place something it's not and spoiling it as a result. Yes the towels are extra fluffy, the bedding is nice and bathrobes are provided - but so they should be for £155! The breakfast was terrible - you can't have a full English (not posh enough?). Instead you have to choose from bacon and eggs, bacon and beans, egg and beans or the "Chef's Special", which was an omelette so salty that it was inedible (and I'll eat almost anything!). Traffic noise from the main road outside is high and the room was cold, largely due to the old fashioned sash windows and lack of double glazing. No facility to turn the heating up. Shampoo and toiletries were not replaced on the second night, the owner blamed this on the housekeeper (although we were pretty sure there was no housekeeper). We could hear every step taken by the people in the room above us and every sound coming from the corridor. Think twice before you splash out on this - it is not the 5 star experience you will be expecting.
