Top Local Tips for Weymouth
Westers Great food and value for money, right next door to hotel - ideal for winter, not having to walk back into town.
Nice curry house In the center of Weymouth is nice curry house - The Balti Palace. Not the most original name but the place was ok. I'm not an expert on curries but the locals that took me there rated the place very highly.
Departing As quick as possible,

The breakfast was terrible - you can't have a full English (not posh enough?). Instead you have to choose from bacon and eggs, bacon and beans, egg and beans or the "Chef's Special", which was an omelette so salty that it was inedible (and I'll eat almost anything!).
Traffic noise from the main road outside is high and the room was cold, largely due to the old fashioned sash windows and lack of double glazing. No facility to turn the heating up. Shampoo and toiletries were not replaced on the second night, the owner blamed this on the housekeeper (although we were pretty sure there was no housekeeper).
We could hear every step taken by the people in the room above us and every sound coming from the corridor.
Think twice before you splash out on this - it is not the 5 star experience you will be expecting.
