I booked this hotel for a one night stay with my wife, we were given a quote of £50.00 and asked to give a credit card number to 'reserve' the room. On the day of departure, the cost went up to £69.95. I pointed out their 'mistake' and they then accepted £50 - paid in cash. Luckily, I got a receipt.
A few days later, I had my credit card debited for £69.95. Because I had the receipt, I was able to argue that they needed to refund me, however I would be VERY wary of using this establishment again. Nice room, good view (albeit of W-S-M) but very noisy at night due to the local 'youths' having drunk a few too many. Or maybe a lot too many. Either way, darn noisy all night.
