The hotel has sadly changed ownership and has deteriorated considerably as a result. Despite our booking the new owners deny having a record of it (how convenient) and despite having vacancies they refuse to allow us to stay as they are actively seeking a 'block booking'
The new owners, the Millers, have also increased the cost of a stay - we were paying £125 per night for a beautiful room - now they require £265 per night - that's if you pass whatever criteria they are using to vet their customers.
It's sad to see such a wonderful hotel deteriorate under the ownership of what appears to be very greedy, uncaring people who couldn't care less about their regular customers.
