atmosphere in st mawes We stayed at the Rising Sun in June 2007. We had stayed there years ago and loved it. We found it delightful, our room was spacious, light and airy with two settees etc and a comfortable roomy bed. Breakfast was ex apart from having to make your own toast with a toaster that you couldn't leave or your toast burnt or was removed by someone else! The choice was superb and the fresh fruit good. The waitress was a joy, so cheerful, helpful and pleasant. We were however so disappointed to hear that the chef Mrs Lang had moved on and the bar meals def. could have been much better and certainly were not the ones on line that we read before deciding to stay at the Rising Sun. It was too late for us to eat in the restaurant not being as young as we were! We had a small problem while we were there and it was handled with courtesy and good humour by the management even though it turned out that it had been entirely my own fault. Everywhere seemed clean and the nice touch of the bowl of fruit , plates etc on the landing i really thought was ex. We had a lovely relaxing few days with beautiful weather and we hope to return one day. We know Cornwall well and St Maws is a favourite spot, we recomend it and the Rising Sun too.
