I stayed at the White Gables Hotel two years ago, and due to the fact that we were late arriving due to a passenger being taken ill en-route, the manageress was extremely rude having a go at a few of our party (including me) just because we asked could we drop our hand luggage off into our rooms.
The food was disgusting. My friend had a turkey escalop which was so hard it would have broken the table if you'd have hit it. My friend complained and the manageress said "it looks alright and I'm having it for my tea so what are you moaning about". My friend also had two breakfasts that were undercooked.
I've stayed in countless hotels over the years but this one made Fawlty Towers look like a 5* hotel.
