At such low price you might be forgiven for expecting poor service. This is certainly not the case at westwood. From the barman/waiter to the assistant manager we had nothing but excellent friendly service. When you add on top of that the good food, comfortable beds and brilliant entertainment it makes for an unforgettable stay.
Great time

We stayed at the westwood hotel for 4 nights just for a break from running a busy pub. We found John and Dennis very welcoming, the room was lovely and clean, breakfast & dinner was great we really couldn't fault anything about it, we will be definitely going back and would recommend it to others.
No complaints

We managed to get in to The westwood after a bad experience with another Torquay hotel. At The Westwood, the staff were exceptionally helpful. Nothing is too much bother - the reception staff and the restaurant staff were all very friendly and efficient. Hotel is spotless with great manners - cannot fault anything! We had a fantastic time. Location by the seafront is fantastic and the lounge is a great place to relax in.

This was one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. We didn't expect luxury, but they can't even meet basic standards. A room that absolutely stank of damp, carpet not hoovered - covered in grit, return to room at 11pm and no toilet paper, disgusting sheets riddled with moth holes, absolutely hopeless parking (assured parking not a problem but actually tiny car park and no street parking - very annoying). The whole place is shabby and run down - much, much worse than its brochure implies. Don't stay there!

Dirty hotel rooms not cleaned properly, placed with another family at breakfast when we decided to move to an available table we were told off by the waitress, only reception staff communication difficult. We were not at all happy at the end of our stay when we watched the maid place our dirty top sheets back on the bed for the next guests, PURE FILTH!!!!! Am persuing with Environmental Health and Tourist Board. Really not happy!

The worst holiday we have had in out lives. The bedrooms smell, hallways smell, the bar looks very dirty. It is a very bad choice of hotel, great location ... what a shame.
