Have stayed here for years the staff are great and we have found no fault in the food;;; home from home;;;;;New year is also not to be missed.

I have come to stay at the Richmond for 1 week on a bus tour.I have a beautiful immaculate room overlooking the sea. all the staff are professional and extremely helpful. food is lovely. Joan on the reception desk has been incredibly helpful and supportive as this is my first holiday since losing my husband. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. A big thank you to all the staff for their hard work.

Needs a complete refurb urgently

I suppose the title realy says it all. we stayed there in july in family room for 2 adults and 2 children. our room had serious electrical faults and after 2 days of getting the staff to reset the circuit breaker at least 20 times, they decided to relocate us to an other room.

this room had not been used for so time it was musty part of the ceiling was missing nand thw decor look like something out of the munster series.

they never even reflected a discount on the original price when we checked out and never once asked if the new room was satisfactory.

going around the hotel room to room ie dinning room lounge etc, felt like takeing a walk around a museum, dingey smelly cold and quite eerie.

The breakfast was no were near a full english and we had to fill up with toast and tea.

Take my advise, look around for other hotels in this area. there are several hotels i have frequented locally, especially on croft road only a few doors up.

if you ignore this warning do so at your peril. You or you will be sitting down in your own home giving a derogatory review like i have.

I was suprised when checking out (2 Nights - Total bill £100) that, they instisted I piad by cash. They would not accept a cheque or credit card. Then even suggested they would drive me into town to a cash machine to withdraw the cash. I stood my ground, they have recoreded my credit card number, but a await to see what they will charge !

Jings man, this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! Talk about cheap tasting booze, I never thought I'd see the New Year in! The champagne was like brown sauce and the sorbet had everyone in stitches! Head & Shoulders eat you heart out, although I don't think that was the "shampers" they intended to buy! Crumbs.
