I have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Coppice and I can't praise the owners and staff enough. We were very well treated, fabulous food, served quickly and cooked to perfection. Already planning a return visit. The only little problem was the tiny, and I mean tiny en suite bathroom.

We have been staying at the Coppice for many years and have always been very well satisfied with the Hotel and felt it gave exceptional value for money. It is situated in a quiet and peaceful area of Torquay set in attractive gardens with off-street parking. It is a 5 minute car drive, or alternatively a 20 minute walk, down to the Harbour. Certainly nobody should leave the table feeling hungry. The swimming facilities are very good with both inside and outside pools, spa bath, steam room and sauna. The Hotel was Wi-Fi equipped for guests with Laptops and it was free. The new owners, Syd & Jenny, were very friendly and welcoming and really went out of their way to make you feel at home. We have just spent a very pleasant week at the Coppice enjoying excellent food and service. New owners Jen & Syd are very welcoming and are making daily improvements all round. The hotel situation (quiet residential area of Wellswood) is well placed, being half way between Torquay and Babbacombe with good bus services in both directions and only a short drive to get out of town. We would recommend the Coppice for all age groups and it has both indoor and outdoor pools. We will be returning soon.
