I stayed at this hotel recently for one night, unexpectedly, when my father was ill. I was completely confused by the whole experience. I booked in at approx 9pm one Friday evening, and the proprietors son showed me to my room in the annex.

The next morning, I had to leave early in order to see my father, at 8am and I could not get into the main house to settle my bill. I tried ringing the bell but there was no one at all around, so I went back to my room and had to try again and again before I was able to raise the proprietor!

I was left very distressed by the whole experience and felt completely isolated and shut outl

The Hotel has recently had a considerable and tasteful refurbishment, all rooms were impressive and well furnished. Food was exceptional and value for money. The owners and staff were very helpful and provided all the information I requested on travel and the City. Parking is excellent. Ideal venue for business or non business accomodation. This hotel has my recommendation.

When booking your rooms, check that you are staying in the main house, my guests stayed in a tiny room next to the garage, which was in need of a referb. I expected them to be staying in the newly redecorated main house, and was not told at the time of booking that they would be in these tiny rooms. Also, there was a sewerage smell in the court yard, and the proprietors were not the most welcoming of people. My guests feld that they were more of a burden than paying guests....It was a shame, we were all very dissappointed...
