Flambo's Feast at Alton Towers Splash Landings Hotel booking problems- BEWARE! We were non residents in the hotel, but a week before departure we phoned Alton Towers main call centre to ask if we could book a table at Flambo's feast as a non-resident. We were told this was no problem, but that you can only book on the day (unlike the Secret Garden Restaurant at The Alton Towers hotels which takes advanced bookings). While driving up from Kent, we called in the morning to ask for a table only to be told that the restauarant DOES NOT take bookings, you are seated on a first come, first served basis. So after spending the afternoon in the Cariba Creek water park, we waited patiently in line to be seated at about 6.45, only to be told that they would not seat non-residents after 6pm. As we had two small children in tow, and there are few other restaurants in the area, we complained bitterly at the hotel desk about the appaling lack of accurate information from the call centre. They said the new system had only just been implemented, and finally apologised & seated us
