We needed to fly on a recent business trip, the flight was too early and Stansted Airport is a good 3 1/2 hours drive from our house.
Hence I started my search for a BandB and I found this one the most recommended.
It was late at night when we arrived, and you need a good map to find a place, right end of a small lane.
As the electric gate opened and we drove in I felt if I was in a tale. The guesthouse itself looks like something out of history and the owners greeted us like long lost friends.
There is a lovely breakfast room, and if your flight is early they will prepare a continental breakfast for you, so you just help yourself.
The room was lovely, very clean and nice. It was very nice. So, I only can recommend this hotel and I wish I would've spent more time there.

I came across it quite by chance, in my opinion this is best Stansted Airport B&B for miles around, I should know I have stayed in quite a few.
I would entirely agree with all that the previous reviewers have said, it has a nice location, really handy for Stansted Airport and beats staying at those anonymous corporate airport hotels by a country mile. The bottom line Oak Lodge is the best by far.

What a find, a hidden gem, a realy lovely place to stay when using Stansted Airport.

Oak Lodge is great for Stansted Airport, conveniently close, but with the lovely peace & quite of the countryside.
Fantastic breakfast, safe car parking and taxis arranged for the short hop to the terminal. Just great!

I booked Oak Lodge Luxury B&B Hotel based upon reviews on this site and was not disappointed.
We can confirm everything good that has already been said about Oak Lodge.
Our room was very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated to a high standard.
Oak Lodge is well situated just a stones throw away from the airport, yet it is quiet and peaceful.
We will definitely stay here again and would have no problems in recommending it to anyone else.

Oak Lodge is excellent for Stansted Airport from start to finish. Jan & Ron were extremely nice and helpful and my room was beautifully furnished. Also my bed gave me one of the most comfortable night's sleep I have had in a while.

Oak Lodge Luxury B&B is great! We have literally just arrived home, I just have to say, What a find!
Jan & Ron are nice people and are very friendly.
Great breakfast, lovely rooms and a very nice bathroom with good, strong shower.
I would recommend Oak Lodge to anyone who needs to stay overnight in Stansted or who is travelling in the area.
The accomodation and service are excellent. Parking is available and they arranged the short taxi journey for us.

The next morning I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast, my flight back to Canada wasn't departing until 5pm that day, so Ron and Jan offered to let me enjoy their garden for most of the morning. After that I was given a ride to Stansted.
Everything was so beautiful. If you do stay here take the time to enjoy the gardens and learn some of the history of the beautiful house. I enjoyed every minute I stayed here and I will certainly be back.
