I spent a week at this hotel in st ives in June of this year (2009) and found the service, food, comfort and situation exceptional. The hotel is clean, the beds are comfortable, the owners are very nice and helpful. The bar is beautifully situated and supplied with lots of magazines and newspapers to read over a drink, lots of books to keep you occupied should it rain for a evening. The balcony on this hotel has the most stunning view, its provided me with lots of interesting moments, watching baby sea gulls and other birds learn to fly. I would return again and again, if the opportunity presents itself.
