Top Local Tips for St. Ives

Restaurants Try to book evening dinner in advance. There are some great restaurants, which are very popular.

Dining in St Ives Do book ahead for dinner. The Alba, The Al Fresco and the Seafood Restaurant are all excellent.

Our dining experiences: Book early for the best meal you'll have in St Ives at The Porthminster Cafe. If you don't book atleast 3 nights ahead you won't get in and believe me, it's worth going! For a low key evening try Blas burgerworks, delicious, affordable and relaxed atmosphere. We did not have a good experience at The Wave. Bad service and very greasy food that made me feel quite unwell afterwards. Avoid! One last thing, the seagulls are a problem around the harbour, they stole my partners icecream out of his hand! ...I didn't know seagulls could be so aggressive. There were lots of crying children over stolen icecreams and pizza slices, so hold on tight.
