Top Local Tips for St. Ives

Seafood Cafe Went with a group of 17 and it was great. Everyone LOVED the food and the staff was friendly and the whole place had a great feel to it. Would definitely come with a group again (in fact, it was the only place in St Ives that wasn't afraid of serving more than about 6 people at a time.) I had heard that the Seafood Cafe is over-rated, but I couldn't find fault with it. Would definitely go again.

Take a Taxi! St. Ives is not a place for private cars - the quaint and narrow streets were, after all, laid out centuries ago. If going by foot is not an option then the local cabs are very experienced and knowledgeable about the town - and they do not cost an arm and a leg. Don't even try to drive yourself!

Try Al Fresco We had dinner in St. Ives' "Al Fresco" which was really good. Make sure you get a reservation before you head for the restaurant - it's quite a small place. The seafood was wonderful!
