Price for DBB was good, but the deluxe room was more standard. Beds comfortable and food nice, but choice of only 3 on DBB menu was not good enough. No hot water, the next morning and no apology from staff. Pool and spa area great. Location good and hotel easy to find.

Bus to town It runs every 30 minutes. You can ask from the hotel reception for the schedule and actual time.
St albans St Albans is a good shopping area with a great market. Nice to walk around
Bad parking spaces during the festive season. Parking is open air and in winter and at the end of the year the hotel is booked up with Christmas parties. Your best bet is to be out and about early before the sun sets ( which in winter depressingly happens by 4 pm) and get back to the hotel before all the good parking close to the entrance is taken up. This way you avoid freezing to death on your walk up to the entrance of the hotel.
