Bonza
This was a super lovely establishment in the heart of a beautiful forest. Linda and Damien were a lovely couple. What better then a beautiful husband and wife run hotel, who openly welcome gays. All the waiters were super lovely and the beds were soft enough for me and my boyfriend. The manager took keen interest in our needs and was happy to lend a hand where needed. We would definitely call again.

Disgusting
Having recently visited this hotel for a family wedding. I can only say how disappointed I would have been if this had been my wedding day. The hotel was filthy and hasn't been decorated / cleaned since the 70's. The rooms were grotty with dirty marks and ripped wall paper and with stains of god knows what on the bed covers. We immediately found another hotel and checked in there instead. The wedding meal consisted of a Turkey roast which was basically slices some type of processed meat which I don't think had been anywhere near a turkey. Chipped plastic water jugs that came with the meal looked older than the hotel itself, and the waiters held on desperately to the bottles of wine as if their lives depended on it. When they cut the cake the waiters proceeded to throw a piece at every guest and one didn’t seem to notice that his pieces of cake where falling out of the paper napkin they were wrapped in. The whole day was overseen by the 'manager' who wore the filthiest white dinn...Read more

A Great Disappointment
We booked 3 nights at the Busketts Lawn Hotel, Woodlands, Nr Southampton a week beforehand via e-mail and telephone contact. The proprietor insisted on taking a £50 deposit from our credit card (not just swiping the details). When we arrived inside the hotel and were shown to our room, it was very disappointing. The room was so small we could barely walk around the bed. The ensuite (if you can call it that - bath, washbasin & toilet crammed in together in poor condition) was tiny. Nothing looked as though it had been done in the room or ensuite since the 1960s. The television was so old it didn't have a remote control and all the fixtures and fittings were 'grotty'. The bed was so hard we found it difficult to sleep and thought it would be more comfortable to sleep on the floor (if there was any spare floor space). The public toilets in the foyer were just as grotty and all areas were in need of renovation. We couldn't stand it after the first night so asked for a different roo...Read more
