On arrival the entrance was clean and spacious but lacked atmosphere. The gentleman behind the reception did not smile and was quite rude. The room was lovely and clean with a view over the golf course. We booked on a DBB basis which we regret. The dinner options were limited and when the portions came the were very small but what there was of it, it was superb. My partner did comment the general manager regarding this issue which he did agree to a certain extent has he had only been mananging the hotel for 5 days and they had a new chef so any comments were most welcome. The breakfast was a buffet great cold selection but if you want a cooked breakfast and you enjoy your sausage and bacon you are watched by big brother you can't help yourself they serve you and give you very small portions not good if you are a guy about to go sailing for the day like my partner who needed a hearty breakfast. The beauticians were excellent and the leisure facilities are clean and a good place to relax.

I think the new general manager has his work cut out, he was a very nice polite guy who is fantastic a listening to customers complaints as we were not the only ones complaining that weekend. He needs to re-train his staff on customer service (smile)and have a word with the chef. If you enjoy a sliced carrot with 3 small slices of steak with a blob of mashed potato and like a service minus a smile this is the hotel for you.
