We spent our first xmas at the savoy this year and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The food was superb ans there was lots of it and plenty of choice. The xmas day lunch was very special and the evening buffets were always very well presented and were different each night, especially the final night where a hot selection was provided. The staff were very friendly and joined in the fun, the dining room staff even dressed as elves on xmas day. Entertainment in the evening was in the form of a keyboard player who also sang some songs, there were always lots of people up dancing to the music. The rooms wre clean and tidy, next time we go we are going to try and get a sea view room as they looked very good, although i understand they are very popular and you have to book early. i would recommend this hotel to everybody and say that if you go to skegness stop in the savoy. Thank you to everyone for a wonderful time.

Mr partner and I returned yesterday from a stay at The Savoy Hotel in Skegness, contented people after having a wonderful time at their Tinsel & Turkey event. The staff were pleasant, nothing was too much trouble, they made everyone feel welcomed. Our compliments to the chef who produced delicious food.
The room was warm, inviting and very comfortable. The entertainment was good, especially the last evening when we had dancing to an excellent singer. As other guests mentioned to each other "it was difficult to remember it was only a two star hotel" due to the brilliant service we encountered.

We certainly will return

Thanks to the staff, including the chamber maids who are also an important part of the team who made up our beds and kept the coffee/tea tray topped up.

Many thanks to everyone at the Savoy for our stay with you. The room was fantastic, very clean with a lovely sea view. The food was wonderful, more like the food we would get in a much higher class of hotel. Nice big portions with good choice. Service in the restaurant first class. In fact all of the staff were great, very polite and helpful and always smiling. We will certainly see you again and pass on your details to our friends.

My girlfriend and i stayed at the Savoy for a long weekend and we wasnt disappointed. We paid £40 pppn for room, breakfast and evening meal. The room wasnt a seaview but was very clean and tidy. The breakfast was very nice as was the evening meal. The staff were all very pleasant and i would recommend a stay at the Savoy.

This hotel was disgusting, our bathroom was filthy, the tv never worked, even after complaining,(aerial stuck on with blue tack) The carpet on the landings had holes in them DANGEROUS
you never had the same table some had to eat in the bar. I would never recommend this to anyone.

Do not use the hotel car park - they ask to hold your car keys for "Fire Regulation purposes" BUT then then move actually enter your car, drive and move it!!!!!! Claiming they have a right too - I was not asked to move my car - they did without my permission - who knows where they drove to????!!! - luckily on this occasion no damage occrued but I wouldn't recommend anyone trusting them with your car keys!!!!

Hotel very basic - bar & breakfast service poor

Some of the reviews of the Savoy Hotel Skegness are to say the least very misleading and the remarks made by some are, in my opinion, obviously written by people that will complain about anything.
We went with a party of 4 and had I been the organizer I would not have booked this Hotel after reading the reviews, however, on arrival we found everything to our complete satisfaction.
We knew that there were no rooms for the disabled but the reception staff found us rooms with showers and near the lift, these fully met our requirements, and there was good wheelchair access and parking for the car and charging facilities for the electric wheelchairs.
The rooms and bedding were spotlessly clean; the staff cheerful very obliging the entertainment superb and the food was cooked to a high standard with plenty of choice.
Sadly the Hotel is situated very near to the shopping centre and it therefore cost me a fortune on my wife's credit card!!
Regarding the complaints I will pickup on specific points.
Damaged wall paper, yes there was some small areas but this was clearly due to chairs touching the walls and heavy suit cases being hauled around corners and could be expected in any hotel.
Noise, yes if you are with a large party and have soul occupancy you can expect some disturbance due to high spirits and the drink that was relatively cheap, blame your friends or the organisers of the event not the hotel!
I will be encouraging coach parties within my remit to consider visits to this hotel.
Finally, sadly not many people will take the trouble to comment on the Internet but upwards of a hundred cards were on display in reception, are testament to the pleasure that many had whilst in residence.
